The Vibe

Toronto’s Harbourfront was built with tourism in mind, so living in Harbourfront has become the place where lots of action is always taking place. There’s lakeside jogging, walking, and biking trails, plenty of green space, modern amenities like grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and more.

The Story

Toronto’s Harbourfront was, at one point, the heart of industrialism in Toronto (and, debatably, in Canada). The shores of Lake Ontario were filled with ships of all kinds, and the area was booming. The past decades have seen a concerted effort to reclaim the waterfront for residents, and to welcome a new era of development in Harbourfront real estate. Gone are the ships and the smoke stacks, and in their place stand condos, public parks, and ferries bringing tourists to the Toronto Islands!

The Convenience

Thanks to the widespread development of this area, it’s very convenient to live in Harbourfront real estate – you’re always close to what you need! Although, it does have its downsides. Due to the presence of the Gardiner, if you live here you might not only feel separated from the Downtown Core, but driving in general can be a bit chaotic (to say the least).

The Residents

Older residents have been some of the first to populate the Harbourfront real estate, but there are plenty of families flocking to this area. Thanks to recent developments, there are now plenty of outdoor, social, and physical activities that people can enjoy in this area every single day.

The Best Part

It’s got to be the water! The Great Lakes are known for being vast bodies of water, and staring out across Lake Ontario can often feel like you’re staring out over the end of the world. There is something so peaceful about it, so who wouldn’t want the chance to wake up to it every morning?
