The Story

Perched just above Toronto, is one of Toronto’s oldest neighbourhoods, is Rosedale-Moore Park. In the early 1900s, Rosedale was home to some prominent families. One of which was Sheriff William Jarvis and his family who laid roots and built his estate. His granddaughter would ride horseback around the estate as she enjoyed seeing the wild roses that grew in abundance. Mr Jarvis named his estate Rosedale after his granddaughter and that is how Rosedale got its name. Only the very wealthy lived in those parts and even to this day, generations of wealthy families still reside in this neighbourhood.  The idea of high-class status goes along with living in the Rosedale-Moore Park real estate. Rosedale exudes a very proud and understated elegance with its winding streets and pockets of stunning detached mansions at every bend. You can be sure to find Edwardian, Victorian, Georgian and Tudor style homes with private gates and long driveways. Many of the homes are rentals which draws a lot of grad students and professionals to the area. With its quiet streets, ravines and cul-de-sacs make thru traffic almost non-existent.
