About The Neighbourhood
The Henry Farm neighbourhood has been settled since 1806. The original house, Oriole Lodge, still stands as a private residence on Manorpark Court. In 1958, the farm was sold for a price of $2 million. Development began in the 1960's, and a suburban neighbourhood of family houses on wide lots was created.
Since then, the city has grown around the neighbourhood. Hwys 401 and 404 form the southern and eastern border. The Don Mills subway station, located at Don Mills and Sheppard provides easy access to downtown.
Henry Farm locals enjoy several parks, including Havenbrook Park and Parkway Forest Park. Havenbrook is home to the Henry Farm Tennis Club, a baseball diamond, and a toboggan hill. Parkway Forest Park hosts the Parkway Forest Community Centre, which features an outdoor pool, green roof, gym, kitchen, dance studio, and weight room.
Henry Farm has solid housing stock, downtown access, and plenty of green space. It's Toronto's "secret neighbourhood" that has it all!
