The Vibe:

A mix of the old and the new in a 100-year-old heritage building.

The Character

One of the defining characteristics of the Tannery Lofts is the hardwood ceilings and the exposed brick walls. It’s such an attractive mix of Toronto’s industrial past with its exciting future, which is what everyone loves when it comes to loft living. If you want the perfect blend of modern amenities with turn-of-the-century Toronto charm, this is the place for you.

The Units

Units in the Tannery Lofts typically feature 13-foot ceilings, with loads of natural light streaming in. It’s all thanks to those classic warehouse windows, which provide ample opportunity to bring the great outdoors inside. It even helps those smaller units feel much bigger, which is a welcome change from some of the city’s more “cramped” living situations.

What We Love

The developer took the time to add additional levels to this building, but did it in a way that it was seamless integrated into the original building. Instead of a glass box plopped on top of this building, we love the work that went into preserving this building’s classic façade – there’s some serious curb appeal there.

What We Don't

The neighbourhood can be a bit of a mixed bag, and it takes a seasoned urbanite to truly appreciate it. Regent Park can be a very polarizing area of Toronto for many people, but if you’re willing to live alongside this area’s growing pains, it’s sure to pay off in the future.
