The Vibe

“Let’s meet at Bellwoods” is a statement uttered by almost every Torontonian at some point during the year. Trinity Bellwoods Park is the centrepiece of this neighbourhood, and the green space informs so much of what happens here. Coffee shops, bars, boutiques and more surround this park, and have made it a homey hipster hotspot in the West End of the city.

The Story

Trinity College used to sit in the centre of Trinity Bellwoods Park but was demolished – all that remains are the strikingly white gates at the park’s south-facing entrance. The neighbourhood itself has since been populated by Portuguese immigrants, and others of various nationalities, as the area grew more and more.

Trinity Bellwoods real estate is more often known for its stretch of West Queen West, which has time and time again been referred to as one of the hippest stretches in the entire country. The park feeds off of this, and in the summertime, it is known for being absolutely packed with people. It’s a vibrant place, and many would say that a picnic in Trinity Bellwoods is a quintessential Toronto experience unlike any other.

The Convenience

Trinity Bellwoods sits right on Queen Street West. It is close to many essential services, like grocery stores and pharmacies, while also remaining close to plenty of specialty stores. As we mentioned before, Trinity Bellwoods is essentially treated as a destination unto itself for many around the city – once you live here, you’ve basically made this landmark home.

The Residents

The recent rejuvenation of Trinity Bellwoods real estate has seen more developments being planned in this area – it’s hard not to walk down the streets without spying new builds or revitalized Victorian-style homes. Younger families and established professionals are combining with long-staying Portuguese families who have lived here their entire lives. Living in Trinity Bellwoods is an interesting mix, and it contributes to the vibrancy and familiarity of this area.

The Best Part

The Ossington Avenue strip is not only one of the liveliest strips in Trinity Bellwoods, but in the entire city! This is where the coolest of the cool come to blow off some steam, and is filled with restaurants, yoga studios, theatres, ice cream parlours, and microbreweries. There’s something for everyone living in Trinity Bellwoods real estate, and to be able to call it “your neighbourhood” is a point of pride for many residents.
