About The Neighbourhood
Located along Toronto's waterfront, Long Branch is a lakeside village primarily made up of single-family and detached homes with numerous businesses located on Lake Shore Blvd West's low-rise commercial strip.
As an area in transition it’s an exciting prospect for home buyers with many ambitious changes planned for shopping and dining along Lakeshore Boulevard. The strip stands to become another shopping destination with charming “village” touches like the nautical themed street lights that set the area apart.
It’s also one of the most bike friendly areas in the GTA in easy walking and riding distance to parks trails along the waterfront and Humber River, including Col. Sam Smith Park named after one of the area's earliest settlers. Located at the end of the line for the Queen streetcar and easy access to the GO, QEW and 427 makes it easy to get just about anywhere using the transportation of your choice.
Because of its location, there’s more development on the way, making this an area with lots of promise. The neighbourhood is bounded by Lake Ontario to the south, Etobicoke Creek to the west, Twenty-Third Street to the east and the CN Railway to the north. It also boasts over 125 restaurants, shops and other businesses along Lake Shore, a stretch that's been named, "Toronto's Village by the Lake".
